Property Overview

The Augustus Lithium Property is strategically situated in Quebec, one of the world’s premier mining jurisdictions, renowned for its rich mineral resources and supportive infrastructure. Spanning over 700 mining claims and covering approximately 35,000 hectares near the mining hub of Val d’Or, the property is well-positioned within an active lithium pegmatite region.

The property benefits from excellent infrastructure, including an established road network, railway access, reliable electricity, abundant water supply, and a skilled local workforce, all of which facilitate efficient exploration and development activities.

Located in a highly prospective hard rock lithium district, the Augustus Property is surrounded by several historic and operating lithium and molybdenum prospects, situated 3 to 20 kilometers from the site. Notably, it lies near two significant lithium projects—North American Lithium (NAL) and Authier Lithium—both owned by Sayona Mining of Australia. Together, these projects boast a combined lithium resource of 87.8 million tonnes at 1.05% Li₂O in the Measured and Indicated (M+I) category and 31.2 million tonnes at 1.07% Li₂O in the Inferred category (Sayona Mining), underscoring the area’s immense potential for lithium development (https://sayonamining.com.au/projects/nal-project/).

This prime location, coupled with extensive infrastructure and proximity to proven lithium assets, makes the Augustus Lithium Property a key component of Linear Minerals Corp’s portfolio and a promising contributor to the global supply of critical metals.

Exploration

Linear Minerals Corp. has made significant progress in exploring the Augustus Lithium Property. The exploration work since 2021 included prospecting, geological mapping, trenching, sampling, geophysical surveys, diamond drilling, and carrying out metallurgical testwork.  To date, the Company has completed 86 diamond drill holes with a cumulative drilling of 16,607 m on the Property. Majority of the drill holes successfully intercepted spodumene bearing pegmatites of variable thicknesses and grades (see the Company’s news releases for details). .. Spodumene pegmatites were delineated and remain open along strike and depth, providing strong potential for expansion.

The metallurgical testwork started by Linear has a very favourable result by using DMS + flotation method: a final spodumene concentrate assayed 6.08% Li2O was produced at a global lithium recovery of ~85%. The Company has successfully achieved the production of high-purity battery-grade lithium carbonate, with a purity level of 99.95%.

Surface exploration  identified a high-grade spodumene pegmatite zone at the Beluga prospect, which requires further investigation. The ground prospecting and soil sampling work has produced several other spodumene pegmatite targets for further exploration. The company also conducted a 660 line-km high-resolution helicopter-borne magnetic survey, covering key targets, including Augustus and Beluga, and extending 8 kilometres from the nearby North American Lithium mine.

The Augustus Property continues to show promising potential, with ongoing work focused on expanding the lithium-bearing zones and refining the underground model. Linear Minerals remains committed to advancing this critical project through focused exploration and strategic assessment.

Geology

The Augustus Lithium Property is situated within the Southern Volcanic Zone (SVZ) of the Abitibi Greenstone Belt, part of the Superior Province of Quebec. The Abitibi Greenstone Belt is a significant geological formation known for its mineral wealth, bounded by the Grenville Province to the east and the Kapuskasing Subprovince to the west. The region is further divided into an older Northern Volcanic Zone (NVZ) and a younger Southern Volcanic Zone (SVZ), which hosts various mineral deposits.

The Augustus Property contains three primary lithium-bearing pegmatite prospects: Augustus, Martin McNeely, and Beluga/Canadian Lithium. These pegmatites are part of the Preissac-La Corne Plutonic Suite, rich in lithium-bearing minerals like spodumene. The Augustus prospect is highlighted by a large, 850-meter-long lithiferous dyke containing significant spodumene and beryl mineralization, with an average reported grade of 1.12% Li₂O.

Lithium on the property is found primarily within coarse-grained pegmatite dykes that formed from the slow cooling of magma deep below the Earth’s crust. These pegmatites are part of the lithium-cesium-tantalum (LCT) subclass of granitic pegmatites, known for containing extractable amounts of valuable elements such as lithium, cesium, and tantalum. The Augustus Property represents a classic example of LCT pegmatite-hosted lithium deposits, which account for over a quarter of the world’s known lithium resources.
